We run special holiday program every Victorian School Holidays.
Kids Church is not a child minding/babysitting session while adults worship God. Your children are also learning with their peers about participating in praise&worship, serving, and have Bible-based lessons each week in groups.
We looked at how why God created the world and shows us how much we are loved;
exploring who Jesus is and what He did while living here on earth (including the events of Easter);
hear stories about people who were asked to follow Jesus;
Paul, a follower of Jesus, who was chosen to be a messenger to go to people who did not know about Jesus;
meet Joseph & Moses in the Old Testament who trusted God to bring good out of difficult and unfair situations;
looking at the greatest book available – the Bible as the story of God’s people and God’s plan for our lives
and then will celebrate Christmas and see how God keeps his promises, especially in sending Jesus.
Kids Church sign-in opens every Sunday 9.15am (for a 9.35am start) when they start interacting with other children and get to know their teachers before Praise&Worship session start.
Yes! Do bring water in labeled bottles, many children get thirsty during the session – especially during the warmer months. To prevent allergic risk, we request no food to be brought into Kids Church.
Parents are most welcome to stay at Kids Church.
We encourage you to function as a Parent/Teacher Helper when you do stay.
This will let your child see that you are around for them, but that you also looking after other children as well.
Yes! We run a special combined program during Victorian school holidays. Sign up for our newsletter to receive monthly updates on our programs.
Under 3-year-olds are welcome to attend the main service at the Auditorium with their parent/guardian, we also have parents room facility downstairs. Should you wish your under 3-year-olds to stay at Kids Church, we ask a supervising adult to stay with their child. (Kids Church teachers will be focused on teaching, and will not be able to look after your toddlers and babies.)
Talk to them about what they have learned at Kids Church each Sunday and help them to make connections with what is happening in their lives and how God’s word is relevant. The aim is that our children will not just believe that Jesus is alive today, but respond by following and serve Him. This is more than we as teachers can do. It requires a work of God’s Spirit in their lives and something we all need to pray about at CrossCulture Family.
As a growing ministry, we are always in need of volunteers with a heart for children.
Teachers and Helpers positions are open to everyone, youth and young adults, grandparents, not just parents!
If you would like to be a part of our children’s lives through Kids Ministry, please talk to Marina or Martin.
All Kids Church volunteers are Working With Children Check compliant and ChildSafe trained. CrossCulture Point Cook uses ChildSafe as our safety and care system to ensure that our people and activities are safe. For more information go to https://www.childsafe.org.au/
*We require that you obtain a WWCC (Working With Children Check) should you wish to stay in the rooms to comply with the Government Guidelines regarding working with children even if you are not teaching. The check is FREE for volunteers and done online on http://www.
