This year in 2019, we are training our kids to be SuperHeroes! Our vision is that kids will be motivated to do small acts for Jesus, which can lead to living an extraordinary life for Jesus. Over the Victorian school holidays, we will organise combined worships, dress-ups, games, crafts as well as a masterclass about being a ‘superhero’ for Christ.
During the Victorian school term, we will explore important topics in smaller groups, such as:
Learn about God’s creation of the world and how good He is;
Understand God as a shepherd – an image of our loving God;
Hear real stories about ordinary people who drew strength from God to do extraordinary things;
Meet followers of Jesus, like Peter and learn how to do amazing things for God in His power;
Learn about the Golden Rule of treating others the way we want to be treated;
Build the foundation of their faith and the importance of the Bible;
and finally, celebrate and understand the true meaning of Christmas.
And our gentle reminder to parents that the Kids Church program is not a child minding or a babysitting session. Your children are actively participating in praise & worship, serving, and learning from Bible-based lessons each week. We hope you are excited like us and we truly appreciate your support and prayers as we build the next generation in their faith!
We may be little, but we can make life super for others.
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31b
We run special holiday program every Victorian School Holidays.
What time should I take my child to Kids Church?
Kids Church sign-in opens every Sunday 9.15am when they start interacting with other children and get to know their teachers before Praise & Worship session start.
Can my child bring water to Kids Church?
Yes! Do bring water in labelled bottles, many children get thirsty during the session – especially during the warmer months. To prevent allergic risk, we request no food to be brought into Kids Church.
Can I stay with my kids during Kids Church?
Parents are most welcome to stay at Kids Church.
We encourage you to function as a Parent/Teacher Helper when you do stay.
This will let your child see that you are around for them, but that you also looking after other children as well.
Do you run Kids Church during school holidays?
Yes! We run a special combined program during Victorian school holidays. Sign up for our newsletter to receive monthly updates on our programs.
Can children under 3 years old attend Kids Church?
Under 3-year-olds are welcome to attend the main service at the Auditorium with their parent/guardian, we also have parents room facility downstairs. Should you wish your under 3-year-olds to stay at Kids Church, we ask a supervising adult to stay with their child. (Kids Church teachers will be focused on teaching, and will not be able to look after your toddlers and babies.)
What can I do to support my child’s spiritual growth?
Talk to them about what they have learned at Kids Church each Sunday and help them to make connections with what is happening in their lives and how God’s word is relevant. The aim is that our children will not just believe that Jesus is alive today, but respond by following and serve Him. This is more than we as teachers can do. It requires a work of God’s Spirit in their lives and something we all need to pray about at CrossCulture Family.
Can I get involved in Kids Church?
As a growing ministry, we are always in need of volunteers with a heart for children.
Teachers and Helpers positions are open to everyone, youth and young adults, grandparents, not just parents!
If you would like to be a part of our children’s lives through Kids Ministry, please talk to Marina or Martin.
How do you screen your Leaders?
All Kids Church volunteers are Working With Children Check compliant and ChildSafe trained. CrossCulture Point Cook uses ChildSafe as our safety and care system to ensure that our people and activities are safe. For more information go to Childsafe
*We require that you obtain a WWCC (Working With Children Check) should you wish to stay in the rooms to comply with the Government Guidelines regarding working with children even if you are not teaching. The check is FREE for volunteers and done online on Workingwithchildren
