  • Jesus never came to give us what we think we want.
  • Jesus never came to give the religious leaders, what they thought they wanted.
  • Jesus never came to give the crowd or the criminal on the cross, what they thought they wanted.
  • He never came to make His followers healthy, or wealthy or happy, although it is true that some of us may receive some of all of those blessings in following Jesus, that is not what Jesus came for,
  • Jesus came to die, that’s why He was on the cross, Godman who is without sin came to die for our sins. So that we can be put right with God and set free.

  • know that we all need forgiveness – come into the presence of Jesus
  • you don’t have to do or be anything – the scandal is that your forgiveness is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone
  • so, in what area of your life are you needing forgiveness?
  • the antidote to our religious hypocrisy is, every morning, remember His grace

  • anyone can approach Jesus because God’s grace is for everyone
  • God’s power is made perfect in our weakness – just as it was at the cross
  • Don’t get shut out of the Kingdom or God. Put your faith in Jesus, for
  • the miracles of Jesus point to something far better that is to come
